Viking Forest Products works with lumber mills throughout North America and Europe to provide up to date market intel to both mills and customer. Vikings commodity lumber department now consists of 14 lumber traders, some of which have 25+ years of trading experience. Most of the wood we trade originates in USA, Canada, and Europe. The grades of lumber range from appearance grade all the way down to industrial/economy grade lumber.

Western Spruce Pine Fir

Viking carries a wide variety of WSPF wood products that we sell by the railcar or truckload.

Our traders sell in excess of a 100 million board feet of WSPF per year. This volume allows us to meet the changing needs of our North American customer base.  We sell all grades, widths and lengths of dimensional lumber. Our goal is to earn customer relationships by providing outstanding service and quality products.

Eastern Spruce Pine Fir

With the growing fiber base East of the Rockies, Viking has become one of the top trading floors for Eastern SPF.

Between shipments via rail and truck either directly from the mill or one of our conveniently located reloads we have you covered. The product line ranges from studs, dimension lumber, and boards to name a few and we offer grades for all customer bases from industrial uses, residential, to top end manufacturing.

Southern Yellow Pine

Our southern yellow pine department consists of a core group of veteran traders with over 70 years of trading experience, all at Viking Forest products!

Like all of our departments, we have tremendous working relationships with all of our trading partners.

We trade a broad range of products for truss mfg, contractor yards, distribution centers, packaging plants, and industrial manufacturers.  We buy and sell syp in all 3 producing regions East, Central, and West. Our product mix ranges from msr, #1, #2, #3 and #4 in 2” construction lumber to timbers.

Coastal/Inland Lumber

Viking Forest Products continues to be a leader in U.S. Inland Lumber with sales of nearly 100 million feet each year.

This includes all grades of White Fir, Hem Fir and Doug Fir (Larch) lumber. Our expertise in sourcing the best quality U.S lumber allows us to offer our customer’s the best values by truckload or railcar and ship them anywhere in the country.

European Spruce Pine Fir

Through strategic partnerships with both sawmills and importers of European Softwood, we are continually seeking out the best opportunities of supply.

We stock euro dimension in ports running down the eastern u.s seaboard and across the southeast.  Grades that we offer include Stud, #2&btr and Premium in 2×3 through 2×12 studs and dimension.
